Alkaloid berberine is a yellow plant, used in traditional Chinese medicine as a potent natural remedy for various diseases and ailments. Some studies show that this plant, acts as a large microbial agent against viruses, bacteria, fungi, etc. Its traditional use proves to be very effective in reducing levels of bad LDL cholesterol and triglycerides. In addition, according to some clinical evidence, berberine can be very effective for treating eye infections. It can also offer support in the treatment of diseases such as type 2 diabetes and glaucoma, among others.

Healthy microbial balance

Berberine is a natural alkaloid and a major component of various plants, including barberry, and Phellodendron.

Recent studies indicate that berberine is a useful complement for keeping cardiometabolic health and is considered effective and safe.

It has been shown that berberine regulates glucose and lipid metabolism in vitro and in vivo.

In clinical trials, the administration of Berberine for three months resulted in healthy blood glucose levels and cholesterol. Live and in vitro experiments have also shown an aid in blood pressure and the effects of berberine in vasodilatation.

Maintains cardiometabolic health

The story talks about the use of berberine in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine from about 3,000 years ago. It has been shown to help maintain a healthy microbial balance.

Polyphenols, part of a broad class of bioflavonoids, are commonly found in grape seeds. A kind of polyphenols known as proanthocyanidins are highly regarded for their strong antioxidant properties, and their functions in supporting the capillaries. Proanthocyanidins appear to be especially effective in neutralizing hydroxyl radicals and highly reactive singlet oxygen. Both of these reactive oxygen species are involved in inflammatory processes.

Fight against Diabetes

Alpha lipoic acid is a coenzyme nutrient that is involved in energy metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates and fats, have physiological functions in the clearance of blood glucose, and is able to collect a number of free radicals. This important coenzyme appears to be necessary for normal transport of blood glucose into the cell. This can be explained by its functions of enzymes that metabolize glucose, PDH and alpha-KGDH, but some researchers suspect a more direct role in glucose uptake in the cell membrane.
